Praying Mantis

I was out walking Lucky when I happened to look down and see this guy. I quickly took Lucky back home and grabbed my camera.

I have no idea how I ever found him again. It was like finding a needle in a haystack. I'm glad I did.

Tiger Green Eyes

Love how her eyes match the wall. It looks as if the wall is showing right through.

Rooster On Barn Light

This was completely accidental.

But I think it's great. It has the right amount of blur, and focus to it.

Sugar Canes

I was in the grocery store today, had my camera with me, and found these sugar canes.

I had never seen sugar canes in the grocery store like this.
As you can tell, it fascinated me enough to take pictures...

Anna's Hummingbird And Audubon

I was thinking back last night to the blog post about me, written by Katherine Tweed of Audubon back in February, on Audubon's website.

If you haven't already, check it out...

Scarlet Lily Beetle

Although these beetles are usually found on lilies, I found this one on a sunflower.

New Watermark/Signature

I have decided to get rid of my old watermark. It just took too much away from my photographs. My new one, is more like a signature.

In some photos, it is very discreet and blends in. In other's, it's a little easier to find.
It is placed in one different location in every picture.
It's like a treasure hunt, and trust me, it is there.

So, I am in the process of changing all of the pictures on my blog, bare with me.

Tell me your thoughts!

Lowe's Garden Center

My mom and I were at Lowes the other day, and were walking through the garden center. I was amazed at how many beautiful flowers they had.
I was wishing I had my camera.

Then I remembered that I had my little i631 Polaroid in my purse.
I carry it in case of 'emergency photo-ops'. This was the first time I had to use it for something like this, and I was blown away with the gorgeous results!

Glowing Tree

I was sitting on my front porch the other night, looking at this tree on the other side of the street.

I was so fascinated at how the streetlight, made the tree have a glowing look. So I started snapping away at the beauty.

Tobacco Hornworm Caterpillar

There were about four of these caterpillars on my Grandad and Nana's tomato bush today.

The Tobacco Hornworm Caterpillar (Manduca Sexta) is very similar to, and often mistaken for, the Tomato Hornworm Caterpillar (Manduca Quinquemaculata). Both species eat the leaves of tobacco, tomato, and other various types of plants. They both turn into moths.

Tobacco Hornworms have seven diagonal lines and a red horn, while the Tomato has eight V-shaped lines and a black horn.

The Tobacco Caterpillar also has a mechanism to selectively secrete the neurotoxin nicotine, found in tobacco.

And yes, that is it's poop.
